My name is “Me”

Often I Leave home to,

Split shadows form the darkness…

Sing with the rhythm of rain…

Dance in the tides of the ocean…

Walk long lonely ways in the Crowd where nobody recognizes…..

Taste the moves of Clouds….

Paint with the color of Smoke…

Listen to unspoken words from the whisper of wind blow…

Feel the invisible footsteps around me of those who walked thousands years back…

Visualize the silent war that hunts lonely people…

& touch THE another me, inside me…

But the truth is, I get back to my home like all the birds do everyday, to see the eyes of my mom, waiting with full of adore, Love. Often people appreciate my arts and designs or photography’s or the rock music I create with my band or may be the poetic lines rarely spoken by me… and often criticizes that criticizes that I dropped my BBA graduation after reaching 2nd year and working in a call center… or my dull wish to study fashion in the fashion-heaven…Paris…

When I see people laughing at my stupid words, I don’t imply myself that “I don’t care” cause I really care about them, Even I don’t laugh at them that “They didn’t get me”, But I smile. Cause I know the another name of laughing is being pleased. & it makes me wonder…

Usually, I don’t look to the mirror to recognize myself… but always I look to my shadow that shows the length of my soul… it shows me the way of my destiny like a compass directs where the ship need to drive…

I know everything is made to be broken but I wish to make something with the broken things… but not with the name…

When someone calls “Hey, Sami” I discover somebody is calling my sense… & I response…

But when I call myself, it’s nothing…

The ‘me’ is my name, cause I don’t call my sense…

I call my soul…

& I dont wanna let it sleep…

  3. April 3, 2010 at 6:06 am

hey i checked out the my name is me page and it is delightful. I wish that I could use words in such a way. The way you write is truly an art and I will be back to read more, much more.

wow… im really feeling great to know that my words made you feel such way like that…. i believe, everyone has their own style to express… your words are obviously rich and true… so dont feel like that my friend… we are all the same….

This is very nice, Sami. I congratulate you again on the beauty of your site and the thoughtful reflections your express on this page. I know winning isn’t everything, and not really, the point, but I hope you DO win the contest!! Bonne chance!

  5. April 4, 2010 at 11:25 pm

What a lovely intro! Like a perfume, itself. Soft and lingering. 🙂

  6. April 5, 2010 at 12:18 am

Hello “sami”. I have to say, I wasn’t sure what to think when I saw your homepage. But I’m astounded by your attention to detail, and the personal quotes you added. They gave the piece substance, made it human. I felt as though I was reading the whole thing through you.

If more people had your passion and eloquence, I believe that learning would be the wonderful, exciting experience that it should be.

    • sami Alam said,

that was eternal for me… im really flowing that you did feel like this….

  7. April 5, 2010 at 12:35 am

“My name is ‘me'” is one of the most insightful yet enigmatic poems I’ve read in quite a long time. It evokes a feeling of shadowy uncertainty, as though you alone exist in a world that normal people couldn’t possibly fathom, a sort of ‘living’ darkness that only your vision can pierce, though you’ve yet to discover how.

I’m glad you commented, or I never would’ve seen this. Your words have redefined ‘ethereal’ for me. You have truly brightened my day. My name is Travis, and I thank you Sami.

Vie est amour; l’amour de la mort. Pour elle est la seule grande aventure laisée pour nous.

  8. April 5, 2010 at 3:35 am

Well, Sami, I’m glad I could make a difference. It’s good to know that words can still count for something. Even if you don’t win this contest, that doesn’t mean that going to France isn’t a possibility, all it means is you’ll have to find another means. You can’t give up on the things you want, not without a fight. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. And I’m sure you’ll find someone that you can open yourself up to…life is frought with uncertainty.

If you really feel strongly about this gift of a shirt as thanks, perhaps you could e-mail a photo of it.

    • sami Alam said,

      April 5, 2010 at 5:18 am

Exactly… actually i’m not competing in this contest…im just expressing the way i feel and sharing the things im learning… just trying to look through the window of my heart… & one more thing is if i can win..that is not a wining for me… it’ll be an achievement of my passion… I really love the sweet mystery of life…

& surely i’ll mail you that my Friend….

What you are making here is a rare, beautiful thing. You could not do that if you were not that in yourself. Trust your heart, always, for it will not lead you astray. You have a true gift, a rare one. Nurture it, love it. Live it fully in all the joy and challenge it brings you. Make the world beautiful with the beauty inside you.
    thank you, sami.

smiling…oh yes you exist, sami. More than just ‘exist’. Far more. Be who you are, who you truly are, knowing that you will constantly be in a state of ‘becoming’. Live that becoming.
        ‘Be’ well, sami.

Not sure I can surpass these comments, Sami. The sentiment and spirit of your writing is very striking. There’s a mysticism about it, too, like an early Van Morrison record. It’s a real gift.

First of all I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Cheers!
